About TrademarkMind
TrademarkMind is independent research and free tools for trademark filings. It reads the complete public USPTO record and WIPO's Madrid System feed, and turns them into answers for people choosing, filing and keeping a trademark: business owners, in-house teams and attorneys.
What we cover
- 14.3 million U.S. trademark records, every application on the USPTO register back to the 1800s paper backfile, updated from the USPTO's daily files (last update 4 October 2026).
- 611,000 international registrations from WIPO's Madrid System daily feed, with where each one was designated and refused.
- 3.8 million registered logos indexed for the image search.
- The USPTO file histories: Office Actions, responses, extensions and outcomes, which is what our examination and odds figures are built from.
We publish three kinds of page: reports on classes, years, filers and outcomes; free tools to check a name or logo, track a deadline or watch for copycats; and reference material such as the USPTO status codes and practical guides to cost, registration and renewal.
How we work
- Every figure comes from the records. Approval rates, Office Action shares, timings and rankings are computed from the USPTO and WIPO data, not estimated or copied from elsewhere. The same calculation feeds every page that quotes a number, so two pages never disagree. How we count.
- Some things are checked by hand. USPTO fees are checked against uspto.gov and each guide states the date. Class boundary notes are written by hand from the Nice Classification. Status code meanings follow the USPTO's own table.
- How the tools reach an answer. Name and logo matching, risk scores and deadlines are calculated directly from the register. AI language models are used in three places, and the page says so: suggesting classes from a description of your business, writing the short explanation under a risk score, and answering filing strategy questions from USPTO material. They never decide a score or a deadline.
- What happens to what you enter. Checks and uploaded logos are kept for six months so you can come back to the result, then deleted. Signed-in users keep their own history until they remove it. Details are in the privacy policy.
- Free, without ads. The tools are free to use, there is no advertising, and analytics run only with consent where the law asks for it.
