Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of TrademarkMind. They are short on purpose. The important one is the first: this site is not a law firm and nothing here is legal advice. Last updated 23 September 2026.

This is not legal advice

TrademarkMind searches public trademark registers and scores what it finds. A clean result is a strong signal that a name or logo is worth pursuing. It is not a clearance opinion, and it cannot tell you whether you will be sued or refused. Only a qualified trademark attorney can do that, after a search that covers ground no automated tool reaches, including unregistered marks, state registers and trade names. For a filing that matters, hire one. Using this site creates no attorney-client relationship of any kind.

What the tools cover, and what they miss

Our searches run against the United States federal register and the international register held by WIPO under the Madrid System, plus live checks of domain names and social handles. They do not cover marks filed directly at national offices outside the United States, marks filed directly at the European Union office, or unregistered rights that exist purely through use. Register data is refreshed from the authorities' own published files and can lag their live systems. Similarity scores are our own judgement expressed as a number, not an official measure.

Using the site

The tools are free and most need no account. In return we ask for the obvious: do not attempt to scrape them in bulk, do not try to defeat the rate limits, do not upload anything you have no right to upload, and do not use the site to do something unlawful. We apply limits per visitor so one person cannot exhaust a shared resource, and we may block access that damages the service for others.

Your content

A logo you upload stays yours. You give us permission to process it for the purpose of running your search and showing you the result, and nothing more. We do not publish it, sell it or use it to train anything. How it is stored and how long it survives is set out in the privacy policy.

Our content

The trademark records shown on this site are public-record content from the USPTO and WIPO. International register data is re-used under the Creative Commons Attribution licence and attributed on the pages that use it. The analysis, writing, scoring and design around those records are ours. You are welcome to cite and link to our pages. Republishing them wholesale is not permitted. If you believe something here infringes your rights, the takedown policy is the route.

Availability

The site is provided as it is. We run it carefully, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption, that a result will be free of error, or that a search will be complete. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from decisions you take on the basis of what you read here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.
