The TrademarkMind app: help and support

The TrademarkMind app for iPhone and Android checks a logo or a name against the U.S. and international registers, counts down to your USPTO deadlines, and tells you when someone files a mark close to yours. It is free and has no ads.

Getting started

• Sign in with Apple, Google, or your email address. With email, we send a 6-digit code that works for 15 minutes. If it doesn't arrive within a minute, check your spam folder, then tap Use a different email and try again.
• Use the same email as on the website and the reminders and watches you set up there appear in the app. Signed in with a different address, such as Apple's "Hide My Email"? Open Account and add your website email under Use your website email too.
• Notifications: allow them when the app asks, and you get an alert before every Office Action or Statement of Use deadline and when a watch finds something. You can turn them off at any time in your phone's settings; the emails continue.

Common questions

Is the app's check the same as the website's?

Yes. The app runs the same logo search, name check and status lookup as the website, with the same data and the same results.

Why is there a daily limit?

Each account can run 25 logo checks and 25 name checks a day, which is far more than a person needs. The limit stops the app being used as a free data feed. It resets at midnight UTC.

Is the app legal advice?

No. It shows what the public registers contain and how similar applications have fared. For advice on your own filing, talk to a trademark attorney.

Deleting your account

You can delete your TrademarkMind account and everything attached to it in two ways:

1. In the app: open Account, tap Delete my account, then Delete everything. It happens at once.
2. By email, without the app: write to hello@trademarkmind.com from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. We do it within 7 days and reply to confirm.

Deleting removes your account, your deadline reminders, your brand watches, the emails you linked and your phones' notification tokens. Results of checks you ran are kept for six months from the day you ran them and then deleted, as for every visitor, but they are no longer linked to you. See the privacy policy for the details.
