Trademark refusal rate in Vietnam: Madrid System filings

94,941 international registrations on record designate Vietnam. Among the 20,568 designations registered 2019–2022 (the resolved cohort we measure outcomes on), 32.1% received a provisional refusal, 3,502 (17%) are still refused outright, 638 partially, and 16,030 (77.9%) hold a grant of protection. That refusal rate is above the 4.4% median across the 60 most-designated offices.
