Trademark refusal rate in Mexico: Madrid System filings

95,999 international registrations on record designate Mexico. Among the 25,191 designations registered 2019–2022 (the resolved cohort we measure outcomes on), 26.7% received a provisional refusal, 2,055 (8.2%) are still refused outright, 1,398 partially, and 21,094 (83.7%) hold a grant of protection. That refusal rate is above the 4.4% median across the 60 most-designated offices.
